Gobi manchurian or Cauliflower manchurian is an Indo Chinese recipe.One of the best starter for vegetarians. No marinade time needed,a quick and easy recipe but tastes great.Make them following these steps with pictures.
INGREDIENTS
TO SAUTE
1 medium sized onion
1 small sized capsicum
2 slit green chillies
4 cloves garlic(chopped)
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp pepper
Oil for frying
Salt to taste
TO MIX
10-15 cauliflower florets
3 tbsp maida
2 tbsp cornflour
1 -2 tsp gingeer garlic paste
1 tsp pepper
Salt to taste
METHOD
Wash the cauliflower florets in warm water with salt and keep it aside.
Meanwhile in a bowl add maida,cornflower,ginger garlic paste,pepper,salt with water and make a smooth paste(dosa batter consistency).Add the cauliflower florets to this and mix well to coat them evenly.
Heat oil in a kadai,deep fry the florets till they turn golden brown.
Heat oil in a pan,add onions,greenchillies,capsicum,garlic and saute for 3 mins.Then add soyasauce,pepper,and salt and saute for a min.Now add the florets and mix them well.
Switch off the flame and serve them hot.
This dish is one of my comfort foods.
