4 medium sized Potatoes
3 thinly sliced Onions
4-5 Green chillies slit
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
2 tsp Besan flour(mix it with 1 tbsp water)
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Oil.
1/ tsp Mustard seed
1/2 tsp Bengal gram/kadalai paruppu
1/4 tsp Fennel seeds
a small piece of Cinnamom]
1/2 star anise
a sprig of curry leaves
Wash the potatoes and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or till they are cooked.When cooled ,peel off the skin and mash them partially.
Heat oil in a pan,add the items under (to temper) table.Then add the green chillies,onions and saute till the onions turn transparent.
Add water ,turmeric powder and salt,when it boils add the mashed potatoes.
Let it boil and when it thickens add the besan flour missed with water.Stir it well and switch off the flame.Garnish with coriander leaves(optional).
Serve the Potato Masala with Poori.
