Fried chicken is popular for its irresistible taste.This recipe is a crunchy,spicy and saucy version of fried chicken.The key ingredient for the crunchiness is cornflour.The crust stays crunchy with tender juicy chicken inside.
400 g chicken
3-4 tbsp cornflour
2 tsp pepper
2 tsp minced or chopped garlic
Salt to taste
FOR THE SAUCE
4 cloves chopped garlic
4 chopped dried red chillies
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp vinegar
1 tsp brown sugar or white sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Wash the chicken pieces in water.Add garlic,pepper,salt to the chicken and mix them well.
Coat the chicken pieces one by one in cornflour.
Deep fry the chicken pieces in oil.
Take them out and drain the excess oil.After 10 mins deep fry the fried chicken pieces again in oil.Double frying makes the crust crunchy.
Keep them aside and prepare the sauce.
Heat oil in a pan.Add the garlic,red chillies ,soya sauce and bring to boil.Now add vinegar, brown sugar and stir well.
Add the fried chicken pieces and mix them well for the sauce to spread and coat evenly all over the chicken pieces.
Serve the Spicy,Crunchy fried chicken hot.
