Karamani beans is a healthy fiber rich vegetable.It has a good amount of vitamins and minerals as well.Beans like greens are easily available in the markets and have a lot of health benefits for our body.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups long beans
2 tbsp moong dhal
1 onion chopped
1 tbsp grated coconut
TO TEMPER
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urad dhal
2 dried red chillies
1 tbsp oil
Few curry leaves
METHOD
Wash the beans,chop them and discard the ends.
Cook the beans,moong dhal with 3/4 cups water with salt.Drain the remaining water and keep it aside
Heat oil in a kadai,add the items under to temper table.When they splutter add the onions and saute for a min on medium flame.
Add the cooked beans,dhal and mix evenly.
Switch off the stove,add the grated coconut and mix them well.
Serve with steamed rice,sambar and rasam.
