Sambar Vadai a favourite breakfast for most of us though deep fried.A very popular South Indian breakfast with good amount of proteins from Urad dhal(ulundu) and Toor dhal(thuvaram paruppu).Refer my Sambar and Vadai recipe before you start making Sambar Vadai.I use only grinder to grind the urad dhal but you can also use your mixie to do the grinding part.We can serve these Sambar Vadai as a tea time snack, morning breakfast,lunch or for kids back from school.
1 tbsp grated carrots( optional)
1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
1 onion chopped(optional)
Ghee as required
Make the sambar little dilute and keep it very hot ( switch off the flame).Drop the vadais directly into the sambar.
Soak the Vadais in sambar for half an hour or they can stay in sambar until you serve them.
While serving add 1-2 tbsp of sambar and 1/2 tsp of ghee over the vadai.
Soft and delicious Sambar Vadai is ready to serve.
Serve and garnish the Sambar Vadai with grated carrots,chopped onions and chopped coriander leaves.
