Chicken kabab or Murg kabab is made from chunks of chicken marinated in a mixture of very simple ingredients.Easy in preparation and delicious to taste with good flavour and aroma.Normally kababs are made using spices and chilly powder but this kabab is very different in preparation and taste.The longer you marinate the more tender and juicy the kababs would be.These are a must-try!
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE KABABS
Boneless and skinless chicken pieces – 200 g
Oil for shallow frying
TO GRIND FOR MARINATION
2 green chillies
2 cloves garlic
3 tbsp coriander leaves
1/2 inch ginger
Juice from half lemon
Salt as required
INGREDIENTS
TO GRIND FOR GREEN CHUTNEY
1 tbsp mint leaves
1 tbsp coriander leaves
2 tsp curd
1 small clove of garlic
1/2 green chilly
1 tsp lemon juice
Salt as required
METHOD
TO MAKE GREEN CHUTNEY
Grind all the ingredients under ‘to grind for green chutney’column
Green chutney is ready to serve with kababs
TO MAKE KABABS
Clean the chicken pieces in water and cut them into bite sized pieces.Grind the items under ‘ to grind for marination ‘ column.
Marinate the chicken pieces in this mixture for an hour.
Heat oil in a pan,place the chicken pieces and shallow fry them on low flame.
Shallow fry the chicken kababs on both sides on low flame with a closed lid.This might take 10 – 12 mins.
When the kababs are cooked,remove them from fire.
Serve the chicken kababs hot with green chutney.
