Sweet Somas is a deep fried sweet with crispy outer part and sugary sweet mixture inside. The sweet filling is usually made with bengal gram powder, rava and sugar, but I have added some roasted nuts to make it more rich and special for Diwali.
Some even add Khoya ( mawa ) as a filling but the shelf life will be less compared to the dry filling mixture. This is one such sweet which could be made 2 days prior to Diwali and it remains crispy, crunchy when stored in an airtight container.Do try this crispy sweet for this year Diwali and have a wonderful celebration with your family and friends.
