Are you bored making Sambar and Puli kulambu? Then you should definitely try this Paruppu Urundai Kulambu with the goodness of lenthils ,a protein rich Kulambu. It is prepared by cooking Lenthil dumplings (urundai) in tomato and coconut based gravy.Either Toor dal or Bengal gram can be used to make these lenthil balls.I have used both the lenthils today and you can alter their proportion according to your taste and style.
The lenthil balls (paruppu urundai) can be steamed or deep fried in oil before adding to the kulambu or if you confident then you can add them directly to the kulambu without any steaming or frying process.
Paruppu Urundai Kulambu tastes great when served with hot steamed rice with ghee and papad.
