Over the past few years oats have become a very popular health food .They are loaded with dietary fiber and helps to lower levels of bad cholesterol.Oats are heart healthy food.
Usually Oats were used in making cookies,cakes,desserts and porridge in many countries.But owing to its healthy benefits it is now widely used in Indian cooking too.Some of the Indian breakfast that could be easily made with oats are Dosai,Idly,Roti and Pongal.I would like to share here an instant easy version of oats dosai without oil and fermentation process.Do try this healthy breakfast and start your day in a healthy way.
PREPARATION TIME : 5 MINS
COOKING TIME : 4-5 MINS
YIELDS : 7-9

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup oats
1/8 cup rava
1/8 cup rice flour
1/8 cup buttermilk
2 cups water
1 onion (chopped)
1 green chilly (chopped)
Few curry leaves (chopped)
Salt to taste
METHOD
Powder the oats in your mixie .
Take rava,rice flour, powdered oats in a wide mixing bowl and add butter milk to it.
Add water,salt and mix it well to get batter consistency.
Add onions,green chilly,curry leaves to the batter and mix well.
Heat a dosa pan and pour a laddle of batter just the same way how you make rava dosais.The batter should have watery consistency and when poured over the pan should have netted or lacy look.Cook both sides well.
Crispy,healthy Oats dosai is ready to serve.
TAKE CARE TIPS
You can replace white rava with wheat rava.
Do not add too much buttermilk ,they will make the dosa soft and sour.
The batter should be watery to get crispy dosas.
