Veraal fish / Murrel fish is a fresh water fish fish ,very expensive because they are very rare to get from the market.Fishes are highly nutritious food with a good amount of protein and omega 3 fatty acids.
There are variety of fishes used in preparing fish curry depending on their region and the ingredients. These Veraal fishes are very delicious for they are caught and sold alive, thus no chemicals used to store them.Only the cleaning part is difficult because of their slimy skin part.Wash them thoroughly in water with little salt to remove that greasiness from the bosy.Today I have shared an easy fish kulambu recipe with very few ingredients but it tastes so good with just hot steamed rice and Idly.

TAKE CARE TIPS
You can also add 2 tsp of red chilly powder instead of red chilly paste.
Dried red chillies gives that bright red color to the kulambu and also enhances the taste.
After adding the fish pieces bring the flame to low.
