Ragi (Finger millet) and Wheat are healthy and nutritious cereal with many health benefits.We can lot of healthy recipes with these two amazing ‘super cereal’like dosa,upma ,idly,puttu and many more.In ancient India,people were so familiar with finger millet however it is totally absent in most people’s diet.These two healthy cereal are high in fiber ,controls blood sugar and lowers bad cholesterol.
Today I have shared here a simple cookie recipe using white sugar that you should definitely try for your little ones at home.They are so simple and delicious with a cup of milk.You can serve them as an evening snacks for kids back from school.

PREPARATION TIME : 5 MINS

BAKING TIME : 170 degree C (10-13 MINS)

YIELDS : 25*

INGREDIENTS:

3/4 cup ragi flour(finger millet)

1/4 cup wheat flour

1/2 cup melted butter(room temperature)

1/2 cup sugar

1 cardamom (optiona)

Milk to form a soft dough(if neded)

METHOD

Preheat the oven to 170 degree C.Powder the sugar with a cardamom.

Mix the ragi flour,wheat flour and powdered sugar.

Add the melted ghee to form a soft dough.Add milk if needed ,you might need some few tablespoons of milk.

Make small balls out of the cookie dough and gently press to flatten them.

Grease your turn table and arrange the cookies with a n inch gap between them.Bake for 170 degree C for 12 mins *.

bake for 12 - 15 mins

Serve them as a tea time snack.

TAKE CARE TIPS

You can either cardamom or vanilla extract.

Make thick biscuits for a chewy version and thin ones for flaky version.
