Aval laddu or Poha ladoo is an easy sweet recipe that even beginners can easily give a try.With just few ingredients one can make this laddu in no time.An easy Neivedhyam recipe for festival like Gokulashtami.I have used ghee to shape them ,if you are conscious about your calorie intake then you can use just milk.
Aval laddu tastes so much like rava laddo where RAVA LADDU is more granular in texture compared to Aval laddu.As Diwali is around the corner,get itto the festive mood and start making this easy sweet and share it with your neighbors,friends and relatives.Do try this recipe and have a wonderful celebration !

INGREDIENTS

1 cup aval / poha / flattened rice

1/2 cup sugar

3 tbsp ghee

5 cashews (broken)

2 cardamoms

METHOD

Clean and roast aval in a pan for 5-7 mins in low flame.Let it cool and transfer it to the mixie jar.

Add sugar ,cardamom and grind them finely.Transfer the mixture to a wide mixing bowl.

Heat ghee and roast the cashews until mild brown.Add it to the aval mixture .

Start shaping them by giving good pressure.You can also add few teaspoons of hot milk to shape them and minimize the amount of ghee.

TAKE CARE TIPS

Powder the mixture finely because these ladoos doesn’t taste good if it is granular in texture.

You can omit the addition of ghee completely and add milk to shape them.

You can add raisins,grated coconut ,almonds as per your taste.
