Kadamba Chutney Recipe

Kadamba chutney is an easy and healthy chutney that goes well with almost all Indian breakfast recipe.Left over onions ,tomatoes are ground with flavourful ingredients like ginger ,garlic ,mint leaves, curry leaves and coriander leaves along with coconut and chillies.A brilliant way to include these healthy ingredients in our kids menu ,you can also serve this chutney with bhajji or vadai for kids back from school.

PREPARATION TIME : 5 MINS

MAKING TIME : 10 MINS

SERVES 3-4

INGREDIENTS

1 onion

1 tomato

1/2 cup mint leaves

1/2 cup coriander leaves

1/4 cup curry leaves

1/4 cup grated coconut

4 flakes garlic

1 inch ginger

1 green chilly

3 dried red chilies

Pea sized tamarind

Salt as required

Water as required

2 tsp oil

TO TEMPER

1/2 tsp mustard seeds

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp urad dal

METHOD

Heat oil in a pan,saute ginger,garlic,green chilly,dried red chilly and tamarind for 2 mins.

Add onions,tomatoes and saute for 2 mins.Then add mint leaves,coriander leaves ,curry leaves and saute for 3 mins in low flame.

Now add coconut and saute for a min in low flame.Let it cool down and grind with salt and water.Heat oil in a kadai ,add the items under ‘to temper’ column and saute for a min.

Healthy Kadamba Chutney is ready to serve now.
