Wheat Ghee Biscuits Recipe

With just 3 ingredients one can make these wheat ghee biscuits so easily at home.Wheat ghee biscuits has a powdery texture that just melts in your mouth.Homemade cookies are always more delicious than the store bought ones for we use only fresh ghee or butter to make them.They can be made in huge batches and stored in airtight containers during festival times or for any special occasions at home .As we housewives are always busy even on festival days.So its better to make them in advance and enjoy the precious time with family members.Even those who are beginners in baking can give this a try for this Diwali.These biscuits are so perfect for an evening tea time snack.I bet you that your family would eat more of these homemade biscuits than the shop bought ones.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup wheat flour

1/2 cup sugar (measure and then powder)

1/2 cup – 2 tbsp ghee (melted and room temperature)

Cardamom powder or vanilla essence (optional)

METHOD

Measure and powder the sugar finely.

In a large bowl mix wheat flour and powdered sugar together.

Now add the melted ghee(at room temperature).Mix everything well to form a soft ,smooth dough.

Grease the baking tray with ghee.Make small gooseberry sized balls and press to flatten them gently.Arrange these cookies on the baking tray leaving an inch gap in between them.Preheat the oven to 170 degree C and bake for 17-19 mins.

Serve these homemade Wheat Ghee biscuits as a tea time snack and enjoy with your family members.

TAKE CARE TIPS

Ghee should be in liquid form and at room temperature.Hot or warm ghee will make the dough watery.

You can add a pinch of cardamom powder or vanilla essence while preparing the dough.
