PREPARATION TIME : 10 MINS
BAKING TIME : 40-45 MINS (200 DEGREE C)
YIELDS : 1 LOAF
200 g all purpose flour / maida
200 g sugar
150 g butter
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup milk
Preheat the oven to 200 degree C .Grease and flour your pan.
In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and set aside.
Beat in the butter on low speed for a min,then add sugar and beat on medium speed for 2 mins.
Beat in eggs one at a time ,making sure each one is fully incorporated before adding the next one. Then mix for 2 more minutes until airy and light.
Add the vanilla essence ,combine the dry ingredients(maida + baking powder) with the wet ingredients.
Finally add milk and beat at low speed for 2 mins.
Pour into the prepared pan and bake until a wooden skewer inserted in the center comes out clean (40-45 mins).Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
