Ompodi / Omapodi Recipe

Ompodi /Omapodi is the most easiest snack recipe which doesn’t require any grinding or soaking process. One can easily make this recipe with store bought besan flour (kadalai maavu) and rice flour with some omam (ajwain)for flavor.Just in 15 minutes you can make huge batches of omapodi and store in containers for upto 2 weeks. They get fried very quickly for they are so thin ,it takes only a minute to fry each batch. The dough would be little sticky while making ,but becomes hard later. So fry them immediately after making the dough.
I usually make this for Diwali for it saves a lot of time. You can make them thick or thin as per your preference.I used the idiyappam disc to make them.Do try this easy snack recipe that goes perfect with a cup of tea.
