Panagaram / Panakam Recipe

Panakam is traditional drink which is made along with Kosambari and NEER MOR for Ram Navami that celebrates the birth of Lord Rama.
Panagaram is what we call this cooling drink in Virudhunagar,it is specially prepared during the month of April for Mariamman koil thiruvizha.People make this in large earthen pots and distribute to everyone for free .We add just 3 ingredients(tamarind, jaggery, lime) to make this , we don’t add dry ginger, pepper or edible camphor. Our version of panagaram /panakam is totally different from what others do.
