Kaadai Kulambu

Kaadai / Ullan is a small bird known as Quail in English. It looks more like a pigeon and weights about 150-200 grams. There is not much flesh in their body as they are small in size and the meat is so tender and gets cooked in few minutes. It can be prepared the same way how we cook chicken at home, you can also pressure cook them for 2-3 whistles if you are in a hurry.I always prefer cooking Non-veg recipes with freshly ground spices for they give out such a flavour, colour and aroma to the dish. And the addition of coconut milk enhances the taste and gives creamy consistency to the kulambu that makes it perfect to go with breakfast items and hot steamed rice.Do try this simple recipe and my KAADAI MASALA FRY at home for your loved ones.
