Instant Oats Idly is so healthy and tasty with powdered oats,wheat rava and curd and doesn’t require any fermentation process.Oats Idlis are best for those who are calorie conscious,you can also add some veggies and make it more delicious and healthy.I have used eno salt here which can be substituted with baking soda as well.
Rava Idly and Oats Idly are very similar in texture and appearance but the latter one is more nutritious.For a change from regular rice idly ,do try this Oats Idly and serve them with sambar and chutney.

1 cup oats
1/2 cup wheat rava
1/2 cup curd
3/4 -1 cup water
1 tsp urad dal
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 green chilly (chopped)
1 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped )
2 tsp cashews
1 tsp eno salt
1 tsp oil
Few curry leaves
Salt to taste
In a pan,dry roast the oats and wheat rava for 5 mins in low flame.
Powder the oats finely in your blender .
In a bowl,mix powdered oats,rava , curd and water together.
Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds,urad dal,curry leaves,green chilly,cashews and saute for 2 mins in low flame.Add this to the prepared batter.
Then add coriander leaves and salt.
Finally mix eno salt with water and add to the batter .steam them immediately for 12 -15 mins.
Steam them immediately for 12 -15 mins.
Serve them hot with sambar and chutney.
