Creamy chicken gravy with boneless chicken pieces cooked in tomato and onion based gravy with cashew paste,curd and some spices for a rich flavour.This is definitely not Kolkata style bharta recipe where they use shredded chicken with boiled egggs.

INGREDIENTS:
250 g boneless chicken pieces
3 medium sized onions(chopped)
2 tomatoes ( chopped)
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 cumin powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
3 cloves
2 bay leaves
2 green cardamons
1 black cardamom
10 cashews
1/4 cup curd
1 tsp kasoori methi
3/4 cup water
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp ghee
METHOD
Heat oil in a pan, add cloves,cinnamon,cardamom and bayleaves.Then add chopped onions and saute for 3 mins on medium flame.
Now add chopped tomatoes, ginger garlic paste and saute for 3 more mins on medium flame.
Keep the flame low, add turmeric powder,chilli powder,garam masala powder,coriander powder, cumin powder, salt and give a quick mix.
Add the cleaned chicken pieces and mix gently.Then add cashew paste, water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
Add curd and cook for 2 mins on low flame and finally add kasoori methi and switch off the flame.
Chicken bharta is ready to be served now.
