Ghee biscuits must be a favorite childhood cookies for most of us.With just 3 ingredients one can make these ghee biscuits at home.Though they are easily available at the bakery shops ,the ones made at home are delicious with the nice smell of ghee and just melts in your mouth.
These cookies are so perfect for an evening tea time snack.I could definitely bet you that your family would eat more of these homemade cookies than the shop bought ones.
They can be made in huge batches and stored in airtight containers during festival times or for any special occasions at home .As we housewives are always busy even on festival days.So its better to make them in advance and enjoy the precious time with family members.
That’s why I always say Food brings families together
PREPARATION TIME : 10 MINS
BAKING TIME : 16-18 MINS (170 degree C)
INGREDIENTS
1 cup maida / all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar (measure and powder)
1/2 ghee
METHOD
Measure the ingredients and powder the sugar finely.
In a large bowl mix maida and powdered sugar together. Now add the melted ghee(at room temperature).
Mix everything well to form a soft ,smooth dough.
Grease the baking tray with ghee.Make small gooseberry sized balls and press to flatten them gently.Arrange these cookies on the baking tray leaving an inch gap in between them.Preheat the oven to 170 degree C and bake for 16-18 mins.
Serve these homemade Ghee biscuits as a tea time snack and enjoy with your family members.
TAKE CARE TIPS
Ghee should be in liquid form and at room temperature.Hot or warm ghee will make the dough watery.
You can add a pinch of cardamom powder or vanilla essence while preparing the dough.
hmm healthy ! 🙂

Butter adds a rich distinctive flavor to the cookies….Oil makes the cookie flat, try replacing just half the butter with oil….
