I love baking breads and buns especially for the aroma that fills my whole place .These savoury buns has an amazing flavour from the green chilies,coriander leaves and garlic.One of the easiest bun recipe that gives the buns perfect shape and tastes so good.
Its a beautiful easy dough to make without any lengthy process.Fresh and warm homemade buns just out of the oven are highly irresistible.Follow the step wise pictures and make a great snack for your kids.
PREPARATION TIME : 15 MINS
RISING TIME : 1 HOUR 45 MINS TOTALLY
BAKING TIME : 190 DEGREE C (12-15 MINS)
INGREDIENTS
2 cups flour
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 & 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp yeast
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)
3-5 cloves of garlic
1-2 green chilies
METHOD
Finely chop the coriander leaves,garlic and green chilies.
Heat a pan add milk,butter and egg.When the mixture is luke warm add the yeast.Let it rest for 5 mins.Keep it aside.
In a large mixing bowl ,add the flour,salt and the chopped items together.Now add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix them to form a soft dough.
Grease a bowl with olive oil ,cover the dough with a plastic wrap and let the it rest until it doubles.
Dust your work space and knead the dough for 5 mins.Make small balls out of the dough and let it rise again (45 MINS ).Preheat your oven to 190 dergee C and brush the buns with butter,olive oil or egg white and bake for 12-15 mins.
Enjoy these soft savoury buns as a light lunch box snack or with afternoon tea.
TAKE CARE TIPS
You can also add other herbs like rosemary and thyme.
If the dough is sticky,do not worry for they’ll become soft after kneading.
If the dough is stiff add few tablespoons of milk while making the dough.
