Moong dal Dosai or Pasiparuppu Dosai is a healthy dosai variety that is so rich in protein.There is no need to add rice or urad dal and you need not ferment the batter as well,you can use them immediately after grinding.Just grind pasipaaruppu with few ingredients that adds more taste and flavour to the dosai.Very filling and nutritious breakfast recipe that is so easy to make at home. Moong Dal Dosai goes well with any chutney variety and can be served for breakfast or dinnner.
SOAKING TIME (MOONG DAL): 30 MINS
PREPARATION TIME : 5 MINS

1/2 cup moong dal / pasiparuppu
4 cloves of garlic
1/ 2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp pepper
4-5 dried red chillies
An inch ginger
Oil as required
Salt to taste
Water as required
Soak moong dal for half an hour in water,drain the water and transfer them to your mixie.Add cumin seeds,ginger,garlic,pepper,red chillies,salt and grind for 10 secs in medium speed.
Then add hing,turmeric powder,water and grind for 10 -20 secs in medium speed.
Heat a dosa tawa,pour a laddle of batter and spread it evenly all over the tawa.Drizzle little oil and cook both sides well.
Protein rich Pasiparuppu dosai ready to serve now.
