This is one of the most easiest method of making kurma with paneer.It’s just sauteing and grinding the ingredients with some coconut milk and cashews for a thicker consistency.In just few minutes one can make this kurma recipe even for a group of people.Very simple and easy side dish recipe that goes well rotis and naans.If you prefer for a curd based gravy then you can add 1/4 cup curd and omit the tomatoes.Do make this healthy kurma at home and serve it with your favorite breakfast.

100 g PANEER
2 green chillies
2 dried red chillies
1/2 tsp fennel seeds
3 cloves garlic
1 inch ginger
3 tbsp oil
1 1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 tsp red chilly powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp cumin powder
Few coriander leaves (1 tbsp chopped )
Few mint leaves ( 1 tbsp chopped )
Salt to taste
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a kadai,add fennel seeds,green chillies,red chillies ,garlic,ginger and saute for 2 mins in medium flame.Then add onions and saute for 2 mins in low flame.
Now add tomatoes and saute for 2 mins in low flame.Add chilly powder ,coriander powder,cumin powder,turmeric powder and saute for 2 more mins in low flame.
Add mint leaves ,coriander leaves and saute for a minute in low flame. Cool the mixture and grind it to paste with 1 tbsp of cashews.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in the same kadai,add the ground mixture ,1/2 cup water,salt,coconut milk and let it boil.When it starts to boil ,simmer the flame to low and cook for 10 mins or until oil separates.
When the oil separates add the paneer pieces and switch off the flame.
Serve with chapathis or rotis.
TAKE CARE TIPS
You can also fry the paneer and then add to the gravy.
To prepare the coconut milk,take 1/2 coconut and grind it with 1 & 1/2 cup of water.Filter it through a strainer and discard the residue.
Frozen paneer can also be used for fresh paneer.
