Tutti Frutti Cookie has always been my favorite one since my childhood days.Kids love these tutti frutti cookies for they are so colorful and very inviting.Let it be a cake or cookie these tutti frutti makes it so rich and royal,thus perfect for any special occasions or celebrations .
You don’t need any cookie cutter to shape them.The dough has to be chilled and then sliced before baking.Such a super easy cookie everyone should give a try at home.
PREPARATION TIME : 10 MINS
DOUGH CHILLING TIME : 1 HOUR
BAKING TIME : 180 DEGREE C (10-12 MINS)
YIELDS : 23*

INGREDIENTS
1 & 1/4 cup maida
1/3 cup tutti frutti
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar (measure and powder)
1-2 tbsp milk
METHOD
Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl.Add maida little by little.
The dough will be crumbly in texture,add little milk and mix well.Then add tutti frutti and mix gently.
Roll the dough to a log shaped structure.Wrap it in a butter paper and chill the dough for 40-60 mins in the freezer.
After chilling ,remove the paper and slice them equally.
Preheat the oven to 180 degree C .Grease the surface,arrange the cookies and bake for 10-12 mins or until the base of the biscuits turn mild brown in color.
Enjoy the cookies with your family and friends.
TAKE CARE TIPS
Add very little milk else your cookie will go watery.
There is no need to add any baking powder or soda for this recipe.
Remove the cookie when they turn mild brown at the sides else they will become very crispy.
You can add 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract for flavor.

Hi Swapna, I made these cookies and baked it for 15mts on 350F ..but still they are not crunchy/crispy..they are little soft..bottom surface is brown..Can you tell me where did I go wrong?

Hi Pallavi,Actually this recipe doesn’t make a very crispy cookie.Between the reason for a soft cookie might be the moisture content in the dough that yields cake-like cookie.If it’s really humid in your kitchen ,it attracts more moisture and makes the cookie soft… Also a flat cookie will be crispy,any mounding will make the cookie more cake like…..
