Sabudana Laddu / Javarisi Laddu recipe

Shabudana / Javarisi is used in making variety of dishes from sweets,breakfast recipes to lot of savoury dishes.When it comes to sweet recipe i usually make JAVARISI PAYASAM or JAVARISI SEMIYA PAYASAM.Today I would like to share a sweet laddu recipe using javarisi that is so simple and delicious to taste.Sabudana laddu / Javarisi laddu tastes so much like AVAL LADDU and RAVA LADDU but the texture is little gooey.Do try this easy laddu recipe for your loved ones at home.

MAKING TIME : 5 MINS

INGREDIENTS

1 cup javarisi

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup grated coconut

3 tbsp ghee + 2 tsp for roasting nuts

1-2 tbsp hot milk

10 cashews broken to small pieces

1-2 cardamoms

METHOD

Dry roast the javarisi / sabudana in low flame for 20 mins

Powder the sugar with cardamam.

Powder the sabudana and then sieve.

Mix powdered sabudana,sugar and grated coconut in a bowl.

Heat ghee and roast the cashews.Add this to the mixture and mix well.

Add 1-2 tbsp milk and start making balls out of the mixture.

Set aside for sometime and then store in an airtight container.

TAKE CARE TIPS

Adding milk is optional.

Roast the javarisi in low flame.

You can also add some raisins along with cashews.
