Sweet Susiyam Recipe

Susiyam is a Diwali sweet recipe made using chanadal pooranam as a filling that we usually make for Kadalai Paruppu Pooranam kozhukatai and Poli. The outer layer is made with either maida or raw rice with urad dal.I prefer making them with raw rice for it give a crispy outer layer to the susiyam. The batter need not be fermented ,just grind them with salt and you can use them directly to make susiyams. You can also try this recipe with Idly -Dosa batter you have at home.
