Spicy Chicken Gravy

This spicy Chicken gravy recipe is one of the most easiest recipe that doesn’t need any marination,groud masala or coconut milk.Very simple Chicken gravy made with basic ingredients that you would probably have at home.
Hot,spicy and flavourful side dish that pairs well with pulao,rotis and naan.This chicken gravy is specially for those spicy food lovers.There are so versions of Chicken gravy,this recipe is my way of making them.





1/4 kg chicken

2 onions finely chopped

2 tomatoes finely chopped

2 green chillies slit

1 tsp ginger garlic paste

1 tsp garam masala powder

1 tsp red chilli powder

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp pepper

2 tbsp oil

1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

1 tbsp chopped mint leaves

Water as required

Salt as required


Clean,wash and chop the chicken pieces. Pressure cook for 3 whistles with turmeric powder,salt and 1/2 cup water.

Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan, add green chillies,ginger garlic paste,onions,tomatoes and saute for 5 mins on low flame.

Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder, 2 tbsp water and cook for 5 mins on low flame.

Now add the cooked chicken pieces and let it cook for 5 more mins on low flame.

Switch off the flame,add pepper, mint leaves, coriander leaves, curry leaves and let it set for 15 mins.

Spicy chicken gravy is ready to serve now.
