WHEAT DOSA

Wheat Dosa is an instant healthy dosa that can made for breakfast and dinner.Very easy and quick recipe that does not require  any fermentation.A perfect low calorie breakfast for dieters.Even newbie cooks can give it a try.Lets make them following these simple steps with pictures.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup wheat flour

1/2 cup rice flour or rava

1 tbsp grated coconut

1 shredded carrot

3-3 & 1/2 cups water

Salt to taste

FOR TEMPERING

1 tsp mustard seeds

1 tsp urad dhal

3 chopped green chillies

1 tbsp oil

METHOD

Mix Wheat flour,rice flour,salt with water.Stir them well so that no lumps are formed. Then add the grated coconut and shredded carrots to them.

Heat oil add the items for tempering ,when they splutter add them to the Wheat batter.

Mix them well without any lumps .See that no sedimentation is formed before making every dosa.                                                                                                                                       wheat dosa

Heat the dosa tawa,bring to medium flame then pour the wheat batter starting from the edges of the tawa to the center of the tawa in a circular manner just like how u do for a rava dosa.                                                                                                                                                       wheat dosa

Drizzle a tsp of oil all over and around the dosa ,when it turns brown at the edges flip to the other side and cook them well.

Crispy Wheat Dosa can be served with your favorite chutney or sambar.

GODHUMAI DOSAI

NOTES

To get crispy dosa add rice flour or rava but never add maida.

The batter should have watery consistency to get that crispiness.

Mix and stir the batter well before making every dosa to avoid sedimentation.

You can add chopped onions,curry leaves,coriander leaves,cumin seeds,cashews everything depends upon individual s taste .

Wheat dosas need more time to cook,cook them well either in medium or simmer flame well.

Always serve them hot.
