Vinayagar Chathurthi is fast approaching and keeps me so busy with all the preparations.I thought I would make lot of kozhukatai recipes for my young blog but couldn’t make it as I planned.
I have already uploaded Paal kozhukatai and Karupatti kozhukatai recipe few months back.Do check them as well.
Today I would like to share a sweet kozhukatai recipe here.These are small ,sweet,round shaped kozukatais made using rice flour,sugar and grated coconut.
Kids will love to have these sweet miniature kozhukatais.Do make them for Pillayaar chathurthi and have a blessed day with your family.
PREPARATION TIME : 10 MINS
COOKING TIME : 12-15 MINS
SERVES : 3
1/2 cup HOMEMADE IDIYAPPAM FLOUR
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup grated coconut
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
Water as required
In a large mixing bowl,add rice flour,sugar,coconut and cardamom powder well.
Bring water to boil and add it to the dry ingredients.
Mix them well to form a soft dough.Make small balls out of the dough.
Steam these balls for 12-15 mins or until they are cooked well inside.
Sweet Kozhukatais are ready for Nivedhyam.
TAKE CARE TIPS
You can use ready made idiyappam flour from the market.
Do not steam for a long time for it makes the kozhukatai rubbery.
