Aamras is a favorite mango dessert recipe in the western regions of India especially in Gujarat and Maharastra during summer season.Aamras is pureed mango pulp flavored with kesar (saffron),cardamom and sweetened with sugar that is so easy to make and kids would love to have them.Alphonso mango tastes great for this sweet dish for it is sweeter compared to other mango varieties hence minimizes the amount of sugar to be added.
Aamras and hot fluffy POORI goes great together and perfect for morning breakfast or as a dessert after meal.

MY OTHER MANGO RECIPES
2 Alphonso mangoes
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
A pinch of saffron strands (kesar)
Water or Milk as required
Sugar as per taste
Rinse,peel and cut mangoes into small pieces.
Add the chopped mangoes,kesar,cardamom powder,milk,sugar to your blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
Serve with hot fluffy Pooris , Rotis or as an after meal dessert.
TAKE CARE TIPS:
Use alphonso mangoes or kesar mangoes.
You can substitute sugar with jaggery,brown sugar or honey.
Adding cardamom powder kesar is totally optional.
