Sardine Fish Curry / Mathi Meen Kulambu

Chennaites are really Seafood lovers for we get fresh seafoods from our beautiful Marina beach. And Chennai people are well versed in cooking fishes, prawns and crabs. The preparation of Fish kulambu varies from region to region but the common ingredients are tamarind, tonatoes and onions. In my native place Virudhunagar, we make fish kulambu with just shallots and tamarind without any tomatoes and in Tamilnadu people dont prefer adding coconut to make fish curries whereas most of the fish recipes in Southern parts of India has either ground coconut or coconut milk in it.
Today i have shared a spicy and tangy fish kulambu recipe with the addition of raw mango that enhances the taste thus making it perfect for idly, dosai orhot steamed rice.Do make this delicious fish kulambu at hone and share it with your loved ones.
